Returns & Refunds
Last updated: [DATE]. This policy sets out your legal rights and how to send a machine back. Nothing here reduces your statutory rights.
1. Right to cancel — 14 days
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 you can cancel your order for any reason within 14 days of receiving it. You do not need to give a reason.
- Tell us within those 14 days by emailing [EMAIL] with your order number.
- You then have a further 14 days to send the machine back.
- We refund within 14 days of the machine arriving with us, or of your proof that you have sent it.
2. Refunds
Your refund covers the price of the machine and the standard delivery cost you originally paid. If you chose an express or timed delivery upgrade, we refund the standard rate for that route.
Refunds go back to the payment method you used, in the currency you were charged in. We charge no restocking fee on a standard cancellation.
3. Return postage
- Change of mind: you pay the cost of return postage. Larger machines such as stand mixers and meat grinders are heavy, so ask us for a courier quote before booking one yourself.
- Faulty or wrong item: we always cover return postage and arrange collection.
4. Condition of returned items
You can handle a machine as you would in a shop: unbox it, look it over, check the fit of the attachments. If its value is reduced by handling that goes beyond that — heavy use, missing parts, damage to the finish — we may deduct that amount from your refund.
Please send the machine back with its bowl, blades, cones, plates and any other accessories that came in the box.
5. Exceptions to the 14-day cancellation right
The right to cancel does not apply to:
- Machines engraved or otherwise personalised to your order.
- Sealed hygiene items once the seal is broken, such as replacement drinking lids.
- Perishable goods, including the coffee we occasionally sell alongside the grinders.
6. Faulty, damaged or misdescribed machines
Separately from the right above, the Consumer Rights Act 2015 gives you the right to:
- Reject a faulty machine for a full refund within 30 days of delivery.
- After 30 days and up to six months, ask for a repair or a replacement. If neither works, you can claim a refund.
This applies even to items excluded from change-of-mind returns, and we pay the return postage for anything faulty. Our own two-year cover on motors and gearboxes runs alongside these rights and does not replace them.
7. How to return a machine
- Email [EMAIL] with your order number and a short note on what is wrong.
- We confirm the return address and, for heavy machines, book a collection.
- Repack the machine securely, ideally in its original box.
- Send it to [LEGAL ADDRESS] and keep your proof of postage.
8. Contact
Email [EMAIL], call [PHONE], or write to [LEGAL NAME LTD], [LEGAL ADDRESS]. We reply within two working days.
